A classic forming process rediscovered…

We consciously distinguish between press braking, which involves using a die, and bending by swivelling or rolling. Blechdesign has all of these technologies available and selects the most appropriate process for each component.
 

Press braking involves shaping the material using a combination of a punch and a die. This method is generally preferred for producing radii and bends because it offers better reproducibility and precise definition.

Certain geometries can be produced more effectively by swivel bending. Although this requires additional tooling, it may be more efficient depending on the batch size and complexity. What’s more, the special tooling can also produce a better result.

Unlike press braking, in horizontal or vertical bending, part of the workpiece is fixed in place. Combined with automated processes, this opens up entirely new manufacturing solutions.
