Machining is as important at Blechdesign as sheet metal fabrication, the process that the company started out with in 1997. Combining a wide variety of machining and fabrication methods creates synergies that benefit our customers in many ways. Whether a fabricated component subsequently requires machining or a milled part needs to be formed before completion, all the necessary processes are available within our production facilities.

Having different technologies at our disposal means that there are often several possible ways to manufacture your components. Following a detailed feasibility analysis, our quotations present the different options. We then select the process together with you, based on your decision criteria.

For milled parts, our toolmaking department uses conventional 3-axis CNC machines and simultaneous 5-axis machining technology for components measuring up to 1,500 x 500 x 400 mm.

Our lathes and turning centres are equipped with live tooling. This enables us to carry out subsequent machining of rotating workpieces in the same set-up. With this combined approach, we deliver greater accuracy – and reduce production costs.
